MLK v. Malcolm X

Both had a very effective plan to accomplish thier goals on the Civil Right Movement.I would have to agree that Malcolm X was increasinly more effective because his had to do with more of the violence side.Although MLK was with preaching and that made a difference Malcolm on the other hand didnt let anyone just talk down on them or put their hands on them. For example the qoute about humans should be respected regardless of their color or when he said that peace and freedom can not be separated because no one can be at peace unless they have freedom would have probably made it more effective to the people who were listening and wanted change.

Meritocracy

I believe that this ideology does work because once your categorized as being a minor you are bound to do worst because your selfesteem has gone down.In reverse when your put in a more superior group you confidence increases to a high point and you do better than the other group. When your put in a situation where your being placed in something that you feel that you dont belong in,you wont even care to try anymore because you feel as if its not fair, but once you get to be on the superior side that automatically changes. For example when the teacher said that blue eyed people are better than brown eyed people the children were all in schocked because some would agree and the others would disagree and would have something to say.

I am poem

I am the lunch counter sit in
I wonder if i'll ever see the end of this
I hear hatred from the mountain tops
I see no change
I want equality
I am the lunch counter sit in

I pretend that I will see equality in the end
I feel the hostility burning through my flesh
I need love and good will at al times
I worry that this will never end
I cry internally to show no display of weakness
I am the lunch counter sit in

I understand the miscompsention of these people...
I believe unity is soon to come...
I dream of peace between all humanity...
I try not to wake from such a realistic thing...
I hope for this dream to come true a dream of change because...
I am the lunch counter sit in

What happened in Jena,Louisiana shocked me because fifty years before african american students were fighting for their right to attend a high school that was yet to be intergrated. Now that all schools across america are intergrated students of tha race are acting out of rage. What stood out to me the most in the passage was nooses being hunged and students taking an offense to it.In both incidents it involved black students who were trying to get justice. The Jena case spread quicly because of college students, radio, all kinds of things, and the Little rock 9 was spread by peoples hatred towards them and  how they did not want them to go to school that was al white. Both cases are similar in many ways because both deal with justice.

Shoah Foundation.

Each survivor from the holocaust that would talk about their experience in the concentration camps was horrible. One of the testimonies that stood out the most was the one when his father took them into a hidding place. When he came out he had seen a friend that he knew with two other kids tht were the same age as him and had machine guns. They shot at them but missed.I can not believe all the things that happened to these survivors. As they would speak I felt as if everything that was being said was pain.It is so unbelievable what the Germans would do to.It upsets me because all these people were vulnerable. They could not do anything about it.

Show and Tell.

Item imageThese are a pair of field boots from World War 2.These field boot are from 1941.They are a size 81\2 and are the first models of boots that they started to use. Before they started sewing the rubber shoes sole on them because of the leather wear. The significants of this item is that it gives you a chance to see or imagen how you would feel if you were to be put in their shoes. The shoes may look in good condition but we do not know what went on with the person who wore them the entire time of the war.Just by looking at the boots I feel like if I could tell a a whole story about the war like if I was pratically their.
